Getting started

Install a mod in three steps

  1. 01

    Get a mod loader

    Install Fabric or Forge for your Minecraft version. The mod’s description tells you which one to use.

  2. 02

    Drop in the .jar

    Download the mod and move the file into your .minecraft/mods folder. Create the folder if it isn't there.

  3. 03

    Launch and play

    Open the Minecraft launcher, pick the Fabric or Forge profile, and hit Play. The mod loads automatically.
